A Grade Electrician

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified A Grade Electrician to join our team; someone with great people skills and who has the ability to complete work efficiently and safely.

This A-Grade Electrician role is interesting and varied. No two days are the same, as we respond to a variety of customer needs. You will have the responsibility to complete a variety of electrical works within small to large businesses, residential homes, education facilities, and shopping centres, just to name a few examples.

Work will be within the Geelong and surrounding area between Monday – Friday. However at times there may be some overtime/out-of-hours work, if there are special requirements to do so.

Works we complete are general electrical works – maintenance and repairs, new installations, fault finding, appliance repairs and electrical safety including emergency lighting, smoke alarms and rental property checks.

Albert Corn and Son electrical has been operating in the Geelong and surrounding areas since 1947.  We have provided project maintenance and installation services to domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.  We have had four generations of local electricians from the Corn family.  Albert and his son Mervyn started the business and now Geoff and Grant are continuing the success of one of Geelong’s oldest electrical businesses.

Albert Corn and Son has quality control for all products and services provided to our clients.  We employ Electricians who are trained to communicate well with customers and who are competent  in the electrical trade. We provide close support and training at all times. We have excellent relationships with key wholesalers and an excellent reputation for quality electrical services.

Albert Corn and Son are located in Grovedale, providing fast access to all areas in the region.  We provide a quality, cost effective service for many happy long term clients throughout the region and look forward to continual success and growth.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A Grade Electrician Qualification and must be living in Australia. 
  • Electrical experience in Commercial and Residential Sectors.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to work in a way that is expected of our business.
  • Ability to execute successful, high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Positive, motivated, well-presented and reliable worker who can communicate effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to successfully educate and guide apprentices.
  • Ability to use job management software effectively with training.
  • Experience in or willingness to learn appliance repair work.

Additional Requirements

  • A clear Police Check with be required before the commencement of the job.
  • Manual driver’s licence is essential.
